چکیده
The hot deformation behavior of medium-carbon Cr-Mo alloy, which has been developed for high strength cold-heading quality wire rod, was investigated to evaluate its workability. A flow curve derived using the torsion test, under conditions with temperatures 1173-1273 K and strain rates 0.1-1.0 s-1. At lower temperature higher rate, overall stress increased, showed a three-stage variation related offset dynamic recrystallization recovery. First, as also increased due work hardening, reached peak stress. After that, decreased softening recrystallization. And when effect recovery equilibrium, became steady state. In this paper, constitutive equation established form hyperbolic sine function, here thermal activation energy specimen 244.90 kJ/mol. stresses calculated from were in good agreement experimental results. dynamic-recrystallized grains observed electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD). It that volume fraction deformation. Based on Avrami kinetic equation, model established. predicted model, can be applied at arbitrary rates.

متن کاملDetermining the Hot Deformation Temperature Range of Medium Carbon Ni-Cr-Mo Low Alloy Steels using Hot Tensile and Hot Torsion Tests
The aim of this study was to investigate the suitable temperature range for hot deformation of three medium carbon Ni-Cr-Mo low alloy steels by hot tensile and hot torsion tests. Hot tensile tests were carried out in the te,prature range of 850-1150°C at a constant strain rate of 0.1 s-1 until fracture. Then, the tensile flow behavior, hot ductility and microstructural evolution of the steels w...
متن کاملRecrystallization and Grain Growth of Cold drawn Gold bonding Wire
Recrystallization and grain growth of gold bonding wire have been investigated with Electron Back Scatter Diffraction (EBSD). The bonding wires were wire-drawn to an equivalent strain greater than 11.4 with final diameter between 25 and 30μm. Annealing treatments were carried out in a salt bath at 300°C, 400°C for 1 min, 10 min, 60 min, and 1 day. The textures of the drawn gold wires contain ma...
متن کاملPREDICTION OF CRITICAL STRESS AND STRAIN FOR THE ONSET OF DYNAMIC RECRYSTALLIZATION IN PLAIN CARBON STEELS
The aim of the present study is the prediction of critical conditions (including critical strain and flow stress) for the initiation of dynamic recrystallization during thermo-mechanical processing of plain carbon steels. For this propose, torsion tests were conducted at different temperature (1050, 1100 and 1150˚C) and strain rates (0.002, 0.02 and 0.2/s). All flow curves showed a peak st...
